Strategic Intelligence & Due Diligence
Decide on facts, not assumptions. Confidential decision-support studies on the counterparties, partners and suppliers you are about to commit to.
The problem
Decisions that commit an organisation sometimes depend on information it cannot verify alone. Depending on the country and counterparty, available accounts may be dated and registers incomplete. Local sources, cross-checked against available documentary information, can help complete the picture.
This work is for management companies, funds and family offices based in Mauritius, in particular for their African counterparties; for family groups expanding across the region; and for small and mid-sized businesses in Réunion and the Indian Ocean considering an exclusivity or a distribution partnership.
What we do
Five types of study, each scoped to the decision it informs.
- Flash study. Legal identification, beneficial owners, sanctions and politically exposed persons checks. Indicative lead time: ten to fifteen working days.
- Counterparty solvency. Financial analysis, signs of fragility and payment behaviour, within the limits of accessible and verifiable information.
- In-depth study. Multi-source analysis of structures and relationships, risk mapping and strategic recommendations. Indicative lead time: about one month.
- Organisational fragility. Governance, shareholding and key people before an acquisition or a partnership.
- Ongoing monitoring. Alerts on developments and weak signals concerning a strategic third party already verified.
Lead times are indicative and confirmed in the engagement proposal.
How a mandate runs
- 1 · Conflict check. Before accepting a study, EUDEXUS assesses potential conflicts of interest arising from its other engagements and follows the framework for coaching and advisory work set out in its charter. Confidential information obtained through coaching is not used for the study. If a conflict cannot be managed, the study is declined.
- 2 · Qualification. A confidential conversation to define the decision to be informed and the purpose of the study.
- 3 · Proposal. Scope, lead time and price defined for each engagement.
- 4 · Study. Carried out with specialised partners and local correspondents, under the responsibility of EUDEXUS.
- 5 · Debrief. A strictly confidential report and a debrief conversation leading to an actionable recommendation.
What you receive
A strictly confidential report, a debrief conversation and an actionable recommendation. The report distinguishes established facts, analysis and points that could not be confirmed.
- Confidentiality. What you share with us is handled within a restricted circle bound by the same confidentiality obligations as ourselves. Data is destroyed at the end of the engagement.
- Lawful sources only. Open sources and lawfully obtained local information, cross-checked and verified. No intrusive methods.
- A decision, not another report. Each study leads to an actionable recommendation.
- An independent reading. Based on verified facts, with limitations and uncertainties clearly stated.
Where this does not apply
Our studies are decision-support tools based on lawful sources. They do not constitute legal or financial advice, nor evidence for use in proceedings, and they do not replace our clients’ own regulatory obligations. We do not undertake studies for private or personal purposes.
The boundary between coaching and advisory work is set out in where the two practices meet, and where they do not.
